Cheong-ah Hwang is a wife, mother and a self taught paper artist originally from Korea who is working hard to fulfill her dream of becoming a full time artist. As each original piece of papercut art was hard to produce, she wanted to offer affordable prints as an alternative for those who love her work, and thus she started a project on Kickstarter to obtain funds for printing.
The print was for a Red Riding Hood paper sculpture, and not only did she reached her goal of USD$250 — she got $570, an extra 127% from her original request.
Irina Werning, a Buenos Aires Photographer asked friends and family to “re-enact” old photos of themselves for an ongoing project, which she christened “Back to the Future.”
“I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future.”
2010 ONGOING PROJECT… by the way, this project made me realise Im a bit obsessive…
